Eva Lois Hickam, 103, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2018.Lois was born in DeKalb County, TN but resided most of her life in Kingsport. She was an active member of Vermont United Methodist Church for well over 50 years singing in the choir, cooking for church functions and was a member of the “Prime Timers”. Lois was an avid Lady Vols Fan and sold Vivian Woodward Cosmetics for many years, receiving several sales accomplishment awards. Preceding Lois in death are her husband, Arthur B. Hickam; parents, Limuel and Vadie Burton Medley; siblings, Jack Medley, Bernice Curtis and Roxie Fouch.Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jeff Hickam and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Eric Hickam and wife Megan and Stephanie Gregory and husband Alex; sister, Peggy Medley Young; special nephew, Roger Hickam; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Thursday, September 6, 2018, in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel, Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Tiger Brooks and Pastor Jeremy McMillan officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 7, 2018, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois’ honor to Vermont United Methodist Church, 1810 Bloomingdale Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660.The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of Elmcroft of Kingsport and Asbury Rehab for the care, kindness and compassion shown to Lois and the family.The care of Eva Lois Hickam and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
