Felipa Moratalla, 95, of Kingsport, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Holston Manor. Felipa was born on May 5, 1922 to the late Manuel and Francisca Perrera Marzoa. She was very passionate about sewing, particularly wedding dresses and developing her own line of clothing. Felipa enjoyed traveling, and she was a very strong and independent woman. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband; Victorino Moratalla; as well as, numerous siblings. Those left to cherish Felipa’s memory are her son; Andres (Sherrie) Moratalla; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Teresa Portunodo. It was Felipa’s wish to be cremated and returned to Florida to be placed with her husband, Victorino. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses and staff of Holston Manor for their care and compassion of Felipa.
