Freda Elaine Bailey, born December 30, 1928, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 9, 2019.She was a devoted Christian and a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church where she rededicated her life and was baptized. Freda enjoyed studying her Bible and spent many hours studying Bible prophecy.She had a loving, helpful heart for under privileged children.Freda was a loving and supportive mother who was a good homemaker. She was a part-time Real Estate developer.Freda was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Roger; parents, Dana and Betsy Charlton; brothers, Kenneth and Billy; sisters, Ilene Davis and Jean Phillips; half-sister, Faye and stepmother, Ozetta.Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Bailey; granddaughter, Angela Harris and husband, Jeremy; great-grandsons, Maddux and Camden Harris; sister, Elizabeth Cooter; half-sister, Ina Ruth Elkins; several nieces, nephews and cousins; extra special friend, Becky Salyers; special friend at the office, Pamela Morelock.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 1:00-2:00 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Greg Cercone officiating. Music will be under the direction of Terry Eldridge.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Resurrection. Serving as pallbearers, Maddux Harris, Jeremy Harris and Larry Mullenix.The care of Freda Elaine Bailey and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
