Gerald "Jerry" Free

Gerald Free, 83, of Gray, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 7, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Kingsport to the late John and Edith Haynes Free.Mr. Free retired from Indian Path Medical Center as an Electrician following 40 years of service.He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Chappell.Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Lily Free; sons, Phillip Free and wife, Kim and Jamie Free and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Ashleigh, Joshua, Aly, Erin and Lisa; several great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:45 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jody Jenkins officiating.A Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon Friday, December 14, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation. Pallbearers will be Josh Free, Josh Graham, Scott Parsons, Jason White, Richard Wells and Bobby Merrell.
