Harold Drew Larkins

Harold Drew Larkins, 59, of Kingsport passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at home following a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his friends and family.Harold was born in Kingsport and was member of West View Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior at age 9. He was a Union Electrician, Local #934, which enabled him to travel and work all over the country.Harold loved the mountains, playing chess and watching the Andy Griffith Show every afternoon. He had the most generous heart, he would rather give than receive.Preceding Harold in death are his grandparents, George and Hazel Pack; mother, Violet Pack Larkins and son, James Matthew Larkins.Left to cherish his memory are his brother, George Larkins and several friends, David Haynes and Tim Barker and fiancé Elizabeth Bowman.The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at West View Baptist Church, 1037 Fairview Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660.A Celebration of Harold’s Life will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.Memorial contributions may be made in Harold’s honor to St. Jude’s by visiting www.stjude.orgThe family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Dr. Shipstone for the care and compassion shown during this difficult time.The care of Harold Drew Larkins and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
