J.B. Albright, 84, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at his residence after a period of declining health.He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. J.B. served in the U. S. Army.He retired from AFG Glass Plant in 1996 after 35 years of service. J.B. was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and loved spending time with his family especially watching his grandchildren play sports.J.B. was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Albright; son, James Victor Albright; parents, James Golden and Eva Manis Albright; sister, Ruby Hammonds; and brothers, Bill Albright and L.C. Albright.Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Joy Cooper and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Cortney Cooper, Harley Albright, Hunter Albright and Brittany Albright McLaugthlin and husband, Zach; great granddaughter, Kaylee Albright; sisters, Myrtle Johnson and Shirley Malone and husband, Wayne; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral Home in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Roy Lane officiating. Music will be provided by the Potters.Military Graveside Rites will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper, conducted by the American Legion Post #3 and Gate City Post #265.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the care givers of SunCrest Hospice for their compassion and care.The care of J.B.
