Jack Eugene Goforth

Jack Eugene Goforth, 66, of Kingsport, TN died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 14, 2017 after a brief illness.Jack was a retired electrician from Tele-Optics and spent many years as the primary caregiver to his beloved wife. He was an avid knife collector and enjoyed refinishing furniture.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dunn Goforth, as well as his parents Jack and Margie Goforth of Johnson City, TN, and sister, Donna Strickland Bandy of Kingsport, TN.He is survived by his two sons, Adam Goforth and Jason (Kreshanna) Goforth, one granddaughter, Analise Goforth, all of Kingsport, two sisters, Tina (Chip) Crawford, New Castle, VA,, and Kim Maskew, Kingsport, TN, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for their assistance and support as well as friends and family who were so kind and caring during Jack’s illness.The family will receive friends from 1-4pm on Saturday, August 19 at the home of Jason and Kreshanna Goforth at 722 Greengate Road, Kingsport, TN. Interment will be private.The care of Jack Eugene Goforth and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
