James William Reynolds, 72, of Kingsport, departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2017. James was born February 21, 1945 to the late William and Maxie Massengill Reynolds. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. James was a kind and loving Christian man, and he was genuinely loved by all who knew him. He was a longtime member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Reynolds. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Lisa Reynolds; sister, Jean Campbell, sister-in-law, Judy Reynolds; three nieces; special cousins, Betty English and Barbara (David) Gardner; special friends, Deborah and Harold Lane; and many, many friends also survive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 1444 Bloomingdale Rd. Kingsport, Tennessee, 37660. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Cecil Sturgill officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James’ name to the Missions Fund of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. The care of James William Reynolds and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
