James Ray Ridings, 60, of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.James was born on May 1, 1961, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to Jimmie Ridings and Lindora Ridings. He was a lifelong truck driver, food critic and connoisseur. He greatly enjoyed smoking meats and cooking for family gatherings. He loved his nieces and nephews, and he was a very doting uncle to his great- nieces, Olivia, Cecilia, Jaylin and Emma. James had a big heart, and he will be greatly missed by all.Those left to cherish James’ memory are his mother and father; siblings, John Ridings, Debbie Ridings Novak, Darlene Robertson, George Ridings, Donna Barger; numerous nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.The care of James Ray Ridings and his family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
He was an awesome man and I remember saying how I needed a cast iron skillet one day for cornbread for my home like his and before I left the next day I had one and I will cherish it … keep on trucking James ….and we will miss you ..
Trip was the best friend I ever had we met when we were younger in Tontitown, Maryland and I will very miss him. I mean he was the best Stanford I ever had. I loved him like a brother.
