Janice Reedy

Janice Nell Reedy, 79, of Abingdon, VA passed away Saturday, February, 2, 2019, at Abingdon Health & Rehab. She was born December 27, 1939, in Bilvia, KY to the late Charlie Curtis and Clara Webb Hay.Janice lovingly cared for her son, Butchie for over forty-six years until his death. There here was a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and tending to her flowers.Janice was of the Baptist faith.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burke C. Reedy; sons, Butch Barton and Johnny Reedy; sister, Judy Hay Garrett; brother, Roger Hay.Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Cleta Hay Bartley (Jim), Mary Beasley (Dick) and Jewell Hay; one grandson, two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson; special friend, Jean Hartman; a host of friends at Abingdon Health & Rehab, Abingdon, VA.A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.The care of Janice Nell Reedy and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
