Johnny Robert Clark, 72, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.He was born in Princeton, WVA to the late Densey and Emma Sue Clark.Johnny served in the U. S. Air Force and graduated from ETSU. Johnny worked at J. P. Stevens Company and Holliston Mills.He was Volunteer Coordinator at Indian Path Medical Center. Johnny enjoyed all sports; especially the Tennessee Vols. He was avid lover of all animals and rescued several of them.Other than his parent, he was preceded in death by sister, Carol Smith and a brother, Jackie Clark.Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Clark, who never left his side during his illness; brother, Greg Clark; loving niece, Stacy Jenkins; sisters in law, Anna Carter and husband, Gerald, Edna “Sissy” Renfro and husband Buddy and Margaret Childress and husband, Don; a very special nephew Robby Childress, and wife, Cindy, Robby was always by Johnny’s side and nephew, Jeffrey Renfro and wife, Missy; nieces, Angie Carter and Sheila Carter; godson, John Gardner; his fur babies, Baby, Tiny, Spookie, Jake, Luke and Momma Kitty and several nieces and nephews.The memorial to Johnny was when his family and friends gathered around him and shared memories and their love. I was extremely saddened to hear about Johnny's passing. Johnny fought a good battle and was dedicated to IPMC for many years. His presence will be missed by all the volunteers and team members. I have great memories of working with Johnny at IPMC and will miss him. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers during this difficult time.

Betty, we are deeply saddened by the passing of Johnny ( J.R.). Johnny was a very special person. He was a thoughtful caring man, devoted to you, and to your animals. Sara, Anne (Baby Grace), Train and I had some wonderful times with you and Johnny and we will always treasure those memories. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Johnny was such a loving, kind person. I feel blessed to have had him in my life as did my John. I only regret that I did not get to tell him how much I loved him and thought of him before he passed. He was so special and helped so many people with his volunteer work at the hospital and meals on wheels. The world is a little dimmer with out him. My prayers and love are with you, if I can help you in any way I am, as always, just a phone call away.

Johnny was my Uncle and what a great Uncle he was. He always treated me like I was a queen. He and Betty took me so many places like Myrtle Beach and The beach in Florida just to name a couple. We always had so much fun just being us. Singing, dancing, laughing, jeeping. I have so many found memories like FuFu, little shoes, fresh tomatoes from the garden. Johnny was the 1st person to ever take me fishing, I even caught a few fish. Went out on the lake and camping and Sheila bringing a snapping turtle back to camp. Boy we sure did laugh at that one. And how uou always told us ' i never smile in pictures'. I'm trying to say is I have these great memories I'll never forget and the very best Uncle any one ever had. I'll miss you so much Johnny. You and Betty was my 2nd Mom and Dad. Rest in paradise Johnny, until we see each other again.
