Judy Marie Fanning

Judy Marie Fanning, 69, of Kingsport, departed this life and into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at her home. She was born October 16, 1949, in Pressman’s Home, TN to the late Carson and Buna Gordon.Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the best mother any family could ask for.Judy was a committed Christian who witnessed faithfully and won many people to the Lord including her husband, Lonnie.She was a great cook and enjoyed listening to Gospel music and working crafts.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Fanning and Sammy Fanning; sister, Shirley Vance.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of fifty-three years, Lonnie Fanning; sons, Jonnie Fanning, Roy Fanning (Becky) and James Fanning (Shana); daughter-in-law, Sherry Fanning; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will receive friends Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 5:00-6:45 pm in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Glen Bradley officiating. Music will be provided by the Bradley Family and by sisters, Debbie and Theresa. Friends may also call at the family residence any time.A Graveside Service will be conducted Friday, September 20, 2019, at 10:00 am at Hamblen Memorial Gardens, Morristown, TN. Serving as pallbearers, James Fanning, Dalton Fanning, Aaron Fanning, Jack Hobbs, Sr., Jack Hobbs, Jr. and Billy Evans.
