Proverbs 31:29, “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”June Fields, 87, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born May 30, 1932, in Wilder, VA to the late James B. and Golden P. Hobson.June was a loving and giving Christian lady who always enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and cooking. Baking caramel cakes was her specialty. Her greatest joy in life came by spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.June loved Jesus with all her heart and was a faithful member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.She retired from Chapman Drug Company following thirty years of service.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ella Peyton; father of her children, Harold D. Young; husband, Robert F. Fields; sisters, Jackie Combs and Carolyn Musick; brother, William Hobson.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Beverly Summers (Danny), Kimberly Chafin and Kati Dunn (Rocky); grandchildren, Kristi Peters (Doug), Jessany Bledsoe (Matt), Emily Holley (Brandon), Kayley Riley (Jon), Spencer Chafin, Evan Dunn and Brycen Dunn; great-grandchildren, Charlie Peters, Brielle Riley, Ellasyn Bledsoe, William Riley, Clara Holley and Willa Holley; step-mother, Lillian Hobson; brothers, Donald G. Hobson and Johnny Hobson (Deb); sisters, Ramona Ashmore (Fred) and Sue Dotson (Joe); several nieces and nephews and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2020, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. Dr. Phil Hoskins will officiate.
