Katherine Warf King

Katherine (Warf) King, known by more than just her grandchildren as “Mamaw,” passed away on July 29, 2018, after having lived 89 extraordinary years. She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Chance (Susan) Hodges and Megan Hodges; her great-grandchildren, Logan Hodges and Avery Hamang; her son-in-law Ed Hodges; her extended family and her beloved cat, Tiger. She will also be dearly missed by her wonderful friend Jane Hullsiek. Katherine’s adventures took her to post-war England, where she spent several years raising her daughter, Margaret, and feeding GIs, not the least of which was her husband, Earl; then back to Virginia; and finally to Northwest Indiana, where she would serve as a constant example of strength, humor, and compassion. She will now be joyfully reunited with her daughter, Margaret Hamang, husband, Earl, and mother, Flora (Mahan) Warf.The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Friday, August 3, 2018 in the J.
