Katherine Victoria McGhee

Katherine Victoria Earle McGhee, age 93, of Kingsport, TN, died peacefully at home on September 23, 2018.She was born on March 17, 1925, to the late Daisy and Claude Earle of Meadowview, Virginia. In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her brother, J. C. Earle.Katherine was a beloved wife, mother and friend; her many talents included creative writing, quilting, competitive (!) card playing, Scrabble and other word games. She was an active member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church until her health began to decline. She was a beautiful person who enjoyed life to the fullest; her legacy will live on in all whose lives she touched.She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, the late Eugene McGhee, and by her sister-in-law, the late Eloise Stallard. She is survived by Sherry (Larry) Tolliver and grandson Britt (Comora); Gary (Susie )McGhee, grandson Gary Jr. (Meredith), great grandchildren Mary Grace, Patrick, Aiden and Liam, grandson Tom (Melissa), great grandchildren Jackson, Emory and Bennett, grandson Brian (Ashley), great grandchildren Cullen, Nora and Addilyn; Annette Carico and grandson Brandon (Cybill), great grandson Raylan, granddaughter Mackenzie (Ben) Schodowski, great granddaughter Ireland; Patty (Greg) Johnson, grandson Nathan (Katie), great granddaughter Jade, grandson Kyle; Jill Moody and granddaughters Katie and Rebecca; and niece Belinda Range and family.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the J.
