Lewis Arnold Baker

Lewis Arnold Baker, 82, of Kingsport passed away Monday, March 6, 2023.Lewis was born July 20, 1940, in Blountville, TN to the late Jake Baker and Roena Booher Baker.He served as Pastor of Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church for 40 years.Other than his parents, Lewis was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Baker and his sister, Eunice Baker.Those left to cherish Lewis’ memory are his daughter, Cassandra Kerney (Eric); granddaughters, Ariana Kerney and Angelina Kerney; brother, Ralph Baker (Kay); sisters, Ada Baker, Virgie Ann Cross (Dan) and Minola Price (Phil); several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church, Gate City, VA.The Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Elder Oscar Irvin and Elder Kevin Cross officiating.The Graveside Service will follow at Booher’s Chapel Cemetery.
