Linda Lou Bowman

Linda Lou Bowman, 67, of Kingsport passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 24, 2019, with her loving family by her side.Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a strong, one of a kind lady that could light up a room. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Linda was employed by Holston Valley Medical Center for 43 years.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Tyrone Bowman; father, Carl Sexton; and sister, Shirley Owens.Those left to cherish Linda’s memory are her daughter, Dawn Davidson (Bobby); son, Ty Bowman, Jr. (significant other, Krista Lunan); granddaughters, Sydney Brooke and Allie Danielle Davidson; mother, Doris Ann Sexton; sisters, Yvonne Wade (Randy), Uneva Rhoton; brother, Eddie Sexton; sisters-in-law, Kaureen Bowman, Kathy Transon, Sharon Jones; brother-in-law, Paul Bowman (Sue); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; all of her Holston Valley Medical Center ER family; and her faithful companion, Harley.The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Rick Meade officiating.An Entombment Committal Service will follow the funeral service in the chapel on Saturday evening. Linda will be entombed with her husband in the Chapel Mausoleum of Oak Hill Memorial Park.The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. T.J.
