Linda Martin Gillenwater

Linda Martin Gillenwater, 75, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 16, 2018, at her home in Kingsport, TN.She was born February 13, 1943 in Kingsport, TN. She graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School in 1961.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John G. Martin and Ina Johnson Martin, and her brother, Jack M. Martin.She is survived by her husband, Paul B. Gillenwater; son Phil Gillenwater; daughter, Susan Gillenwater; granddaughters, Masie and Makayla Williams; sister Kay Montgomery, and brother John G Martin II.The family will receive friends from 5 – 6:45 pm Monday, June 18, 2018, in the J. Wayne Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Tom Edwards officiating.An Entombment Committal Service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the Oak Hill 1 Mausoleum at Oak Hill Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202, online at www.diabetes.org/ or to the charity of your choice.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marta Wayt and her staff, Laura Cearnal, Silvia Perez and Amedysis Hospice.The care of Linda Gillenwater and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
