Linda Jean Stratton

Linda Jean Hale Stratton, 70, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2019, surrounded by her family.Linda was born in Kingsport on May 23, 1949, to the late Robert and Doris Payne Hale. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Linda was a very active, longtime member of Kendricks Creek UMC.In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.Left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend of 49 years, Leon Stratton; sons, Chris Stratton, Roger Stratton (Tracey) and David Stratton (Wendi); granddaughters, Sabrina Banks, Abigail Grace and Sydney Faith Stratton; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Cooper; numerous “adopted” children and grandchildren; sisters, Ada Bush (Al), Nancy Clausel (Gary) and Dinah Neely and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in the Fellowship Hall at Kendricks Creek UMC, 1000 Kendrick Creek Rd, Kingsport, TN 37663.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s honor may be made to Kendricks Creek UMC.The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Holston Valley-ICU for the kindness, care and compassion given during this difficult time.The care of Linda Jean Hale Stratton and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
