Lois M. Carver, 82, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Holston Valley Hospital.II Timothy 4: 6-8, “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing.”She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took great pride in her family. Lois’ favorite past-time was reading and she loved spending time with her family and her church family.She proudly served her country in the U. S. Marines. Lois retired from Holston Defense Corp. and was a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Carver; son, Billy Carver; parents, William and Alma Wessner and brothers, John Wessner and Randy Wessner and special canine friend, “Jack”.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicky Pecktol and husband, Chuck; sons, Dean Carver and wife, April and Todd Carver and wife, Jaque; grandchildren, Josh, Matthew, Hunter, Morgan and Justin; great grandchildren, Lucas, Logan and Aubrey; brothers, Lee Wessner and wife, Susan and David Wessner and wife, Debbie; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mark Blalack officiating. A Eulogy will be given by her grandson, Justin Simpson.An Entombment and Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum.
