Lora B. "Tootsie" Roberts Manis

Lora B. “Tootsie” Roberts Manis, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 07, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side.Tootsie was born July 6, 1936 in Scott County, VA to the late Harry and Mahala Viles Roberts.She met the love of her life, Ronald Manis, at Cleveland School and then married in 1954. Tootsie was saved 71 years ago and has always been devoted to the Lord. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Tootsie spent most of her time caring for her family and home but always found time to work in the garden, on her quilts and dolls. In addition to her parents, Tootsie was preceded in death by sisters, Emma Smith, Edna Vinyard, and Dorothy Godsey; brothers, Jack and Harry Roberts; and granddaughter, Michelle Manis.Left to cherish Tootsie's memory are her husband of 65 years, Ronald G. Manis; daughter, Debbie Manis and son, Mitchell Manis; grandchildren, Wayne, Danny, and Patty; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Michelle, Nathaniel, Zack, Shay and Lexy; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her church family.The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ed McClain officiating. A Graveside Service will follow in the Garden of The Last Supper at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and cousins.The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of Suncrest Hospice, especially, Jackie and Teresa, for the care and compassion provided to Tootsie and the family.The care of Lora B. “Tootsie” Roberts Manis and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
