Loretta Short

Beatrice Loretta (Carter) Short, 75, a native and lifelong resident of Eastern Tennessee died March 18, 2019, in Sullivan County, TN.Loretta served the community and worked many years with the elderly and disabled until her retirement.Loretta was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Willard Carter; mother, Effie (Head) Carter; husband, Robert (Bob) Short; sisters, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Jequetta all of Eastern Tennessee.Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Dwight Carter; her closest and dearest friend, Ms. Linda Morse.At Loretta’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.Her final resting place will be in Oak Hill Memorial Park.The care of Beatrice Loretta (Carter) Short and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
