Mabel Edith Franklin

Mabel Edith Franklin, 94, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 10, 2017, at her residence.She was born in Hansonville, VA and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mrs. Franklin retired from Burlington Industries as a supervisor.She enjoyed reading poetry and writing poetry.Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Franklin; sisters, Hazel Thompson and Eva James and brothers, Paul Meade, Jim Meade, Ernest Meade and Herbert Meade.Surviving are her brother, Charles Meade; several nieces and nephews and her faithful fur baby, “Chief”.The family will receive friends from 11 am – 1 pm Monday, November 13, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm in the J.
