Mable "Mae" Altom

Mable “Mae” Altom, 95, of Kingsport (Orebank) passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020, at her home after a long illness.She was born in Waukegan, IL and had lived in Orebank most of her life.Mrs. Altom was an avid homemaker and caring, loving mother and grandmother.She enjoyed reading books and magazines.Mrs. Altom was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Altom; son, Michael Altom; parents, Louis and Esther Austin Hoffman and sister, Evelyn Hoffman.Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeffrey Altom (Sherry) and John Altom; daughter, Nancy Rhoton; granddaughter, Jennifer Altom and wife, Felisity Altom; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Resurrection with Minister Tamar officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
