Madge “Shirrelene" Turner Seaver, 84, of Lenoir, NC, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.She was born in Nickelsville, VA, lived in Kingsport most of her life and had lived in Lenoir, NC for the past five years.She was a graduate of Shoemaker High School in Gate City, VA and attended East Tennessee State University.Mrs. Seaver was a member of First Christian Church, Kingsport, where she sang in the choir and was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #151. She also served as a Dorm Mother and the Nurse for The Patterson School in Lenoir, NC 1970-1977.She enjoyed sewing, making clothes for her children and grandchildren, singing, cooking and loved spending time with her family.Mrs. Seaver was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Ruby Fraley Turner and brother, B. Wayne Turner.Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Blanchard (Bill) Seaver of Lenoir, NC; sons, Wendell Seaver of Banner Elk, NC, Randell Seaver and wife, Kimberly of Lenoir, NC and Danny and wife Elaine Seaver of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Emily S. Teague and Charlton Seaver of Hickory, NC, Errol Seaver of Springville, UT and Jonathan Moore of Lenoir, NC; great grandchildren, Easton, Ashton and Emma; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Phillip Sams, Minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Cindy Hardee.An Entombment Committal Service will follow in the Oak Hill III Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patterson School Foundation, P. O. Box 500, Patterson, NC 28661 or to the First Christian Church, 106 E. Charlemont Ave., Kingsport, TN 37660.There will be a "Celebration of Life" for her at The Patterson School's Sarah Joyce Lenoir Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM.The care of Madge “Shirrelene” Seaver and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
