Margie Osborne Crawford

Margie Osborne Crawford, 85, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Wexford House after a lengthy illness.She was born in Hiltons, VA, and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mrs. Crawford was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.She enjoyed reading her Bible, writing letters to loved ones, gardening, growing flowers and loved spending time with her family.Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Norman “Bob” Crawford; two sisters and four brothers. Those left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Nancy Garrett and husband, Reuben; granddaughter, Candace Garrett and husband, Glenn; “special granddaughters”, Carrie Ide and Tiffany Ward; grandson in law, Kevin Howington; great grandchildren, Taylor, Camron and Avion; three sisters; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm Monday, June 24, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating. A Committal Service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum. Family and friends are asked to meet at the mausoleum a 12:50 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Angels at Wexford House Nursing Home and nurses at Amedysis Hospice for their compassion and care.
