Margie Pickens

Margie Pickens, 78, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 6, 2018, at her residence.She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was a member of Freedom Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.She enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church and loved spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.Mrs. Pickens was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Haynes Pritchett and William Pritchett, Sr.; sister, Wilma Jean Davis and her twin sister, Margaret McCrary.Surviving are her loving husband of 57 years, Frank Pickens; daughters, Tracy Spriggs and husband, Bill and Penny Ewing; grandchildren, Shannon Spriggs, Nathan Spriggs and Katie Ewing; great granddaughter, Jackie Spriggs; brothers, Bill Pritchett and Dennis Pritchett; special niece, Diana McKay and husband, Steve and special nephew, George Begley and wife, Tracy and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Monday, July 9, 2018, in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.A Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Jason Neff officiating.A Graveside Service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper.
