Marian Larkin Hughes

Marian Hughes, 88, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 27, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Claridge, PA and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mrs. Hughes graduated from Dobyns-Bennett in 1948, and had been a member of West View Baptist Church over 50 years. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco with the girls and assisting her husband, Fred, in leather work. She loved spending time with her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Fred Hughes, Sr.; son, Fred Lee Hughes, Jr.; parents, Mack and Margaret Larkin; sister, June Larkin Bussicu and a brother, Mack Larkin, Jr.Surviving are her daughter, Karen Gibbons; son, Anthony “Tony” Hughes, Sr.; grandchildren, Yvette Salas, Fred Lee Hughes III, Amy Nichole Powell and Christopher Gibbons, Jamie Burke and husband, Keith and Anthony Hughes, Jr.; special great grandchildren, Haley Powell and Brooke Powell; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Norman Larkin and wife Edde and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Monday, July 30, 2108, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. A funeral will follow at 2 pm in the chapel with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Resurrection.
