Marie Haynes Stamper, 81, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday evening, September 19, 2018, at Wexford House after a lengthy illness.She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was a member of Greenvale Baptist Church.Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Edna Smith Haynes and her brother, Joseph Herman Haynes.Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, Grady “Bud” Stamper; children, Yvonne Marie Jessee (Gary), twins, Barbara Jean Culbertson and Grady Dean Stamper (Tammy), Lisa Gail Hobbs (Randy) and Sherri Michelle Sizemore (David); grandchildren, Cari Jessee Allen (Corey), Von Franklin Jessee (Kaitlyn), Jason Ira Massengill, Jennifer Massengill Sykes (Brian), Brandon Giles Stamper (Aimee), Tyler Dean Stamper (Jessica), Zachary Heath Stamper, Nathaniel Stephen Hobbs, Matthew Jordan Hobbs, Melissa Haven Hobbs, Ian David Sizemore and Meghan Marie Brown (Ryan); great grandchildren Carson, Colyer, Miranda, Jeffery, Brady, Andersen, Boone, Blakely, Brynlee, Brooks, and Maci and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Funeral Service will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Danny Sykes and Pastor Randy Hobbs officiating.An Entombment Committal Service will follow in the Oak Hill IV Mausoleum in Oak Hill Memorial Park.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Wexford House and nurses of Amedysis Hospice.Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Marie Stamper and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
