Marilyn Irene Cleek

Marilyn Irene Cleek, 74, of Kingsport, went to be with her children on January 5, 2019. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.Marilyn was loving, vibrant, and feisty. She would light up any room and never met a stranger.Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Glover; son, Nicky Cleek and sister, Glenda Wilson.Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-six years, John Cleek; son, Brett Cleek; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.A Gathering to Celebrate Marilyn's Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at L. E. Clarks Grocery, 2645 Sullivan Gardens Parkway, Kingsport, TN 37660.The family extends their sincere appreciation to the Bowman family for their kindness, care and compassion during these difficult times.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Joseph Indian School, 1301 North Main Street, Chamberlain, SD, 57325.The care of Marilyn Irene Cleek and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
