Mark “Speedy” Cassidy, 59, of Fall Branch, TN passed away suddenly Monday, January 27, 2020, at Asbury Place, Kingsport. He was born April 23, 1960, in Kingsport to the late Lemuel and Freda Brummitt Cassidy. Mark retired from McDonalds in the Maintenance Department following thirty years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steffan Jones and his brother, Robert Cassidy. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Kathy Lunsford Cassidy; daughter, Lori Jones; son, Mark and Melanie Cassidy; grandchildren, Thomas Fillers, Walker Cassidy and Weslyn Cassidy; sister, Melissa Wahls and husband, Randy. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church - Fall Branch, 1525 Hwy 93, Fall Branch, TN 37656. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm with Rev. Clarence Bear officiating. The family extends their sincere gratitude to everyone who helped during his illness. The care of Mark “Speedy” Cassidy and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
