Marlene Dougherty Thomas

Marlene Thomas, 60, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 18, 2019, at the residence of her mother with her loving family by her side.She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.Mrs. Thomas graduated from Ketron High School in 1978. She was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church.Mrs. Thomas retired from Kroger’s in the Deli/Bakery after 33 years of service.She enjoyed visiting with friends and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her father, James M. Dougherty.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, Rick Thomas; son, Jason Bombailey and wife, Christy; grandchildren, Jacob Bombailey and wife, Sierra, Chelsie Maynard and Eli Bentley; great granddaughters, Jaylen Bombailey and Stella Stewart; great grandsons, Anakin Maynard and Jeffery Maynard; mother, Colleen Gamble Dougherty; sister, Beth Brickey; brother, Emmett Dougherty and wife Renee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm Monday October 21, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Bob Lewis and Pastor Will Schrivner officiating.Mrs. Thomas will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation.Active Pallbearers Phillip Dougherty, Jacob Bombailey ,Chance Kent, Gary Brickey, Adam Noe, Eli Bentley, Teddy Ketron, Shawn Harper and Jeff Marshall.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B.
