Mary Lou Callahan, 93, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Wexford House.She was born in Greenville, SC and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mrs. Callahan enjoyed crocheting, quilting, crafts, gardening and reading. She loved spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Charles “Charlie” Callahan; son, Gary Callahan and wife, Donna; granddaughters, April Oaks and husband, Nick and Jennifer Noel and husband, Landon; great grandchildren, Eli Oaks, Abigail Oaks and Evan Noel and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 11 – 12 pm Monday, November 20, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jason Royston officiating.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stella, Crystal, Johnny and Angela of Wexford House.The care of Mary Lou Callahan and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary

So sorry to hear of your loss.I still have the picture of Steve that your mother sent to me after Steve's accident. I will always cherish that picture. I know you have a lot of special memories of her, just hold on to those memories, and as time is quickly passing by it won't be long until we will be with our loved ones again. I am sorry I couldn't be there, but you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Gary, you and your family will always be special to us.
