Maurice Alan Lawson

Maurice Alan Lawson, 65, of Hiltons, VA passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Holston Valley Medical Center.He was born June 27, 1957, in Erwin, TN to the late Franklin and Edith Sellars Lawson.Maurice was a loving, generous and devoted son, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family.He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, drawing, fishing, gardening, and was a great story teller.Maurice was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ozark Truck Lines following ten years of service.He attended Hiltons United Methodist Church.In addition to his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Keith Lawson.Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Brandy Davis Broughton (Evan); grandchildren, Kenneth Morrison, Ryan Davis, Layla Broughton, Lillith Broughton and Laken Broughton; sisters, Amelia Lawson and Rachel Morrison; special neighbor, Tony Carter.Mr. Lawson will be cremated and no services will be held.To share memories and condolences with the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Maurice Alan Lawson and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
