Michael Crawford

Michael James Crawford, passed away at the age of 49, on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.Michael worked at the Cotton Mill, Brock Construction and Eastman Chemical Company. Michael was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Turner; grandparents, John and Della Turner; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Mary Crawford; uncles, William Junior Crawford, Gene Arnold and William Sharp, Sr.; aunts, Betty Jo Sharp, Lillie M. Absher; cousins, Bobbi J. Coffman and Timmy Jennings.Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael M. Crawford, Isaac C. L. Crawford, Thomas M. J. Crawford and his stepdaughter, Haleigh B. Sluss, all of whom are located in the Big Stone Gap, VA area. He is also survived by the love of his life, Lillie Sluss; mother, Gladys Crawford; aunts, Nellie Arnold, Dorothy Maggard and Joyce Boggs; uncles, Frank Malone and Michael A. Crawford.Michael will live on through several of his family members; nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved children.The family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018, from 12:00-1:00 pm at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeremy Branham officiating.Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
