Mildred Shuler

Mildred Lucille Shuler, 91, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully Friday, August 2, 2019, with her loving husband by her side. She was born November 8, 1927, in Pulaski, VA to the late Charles and Bessie Mae Scism.She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred was a retired nurse and attended the Church of Christ.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Shuler and three sisters.Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of seventy-one years, Lon Shuler; daughters, Debra Quesinberry, Teresa Guinn (Terry) and Jennifer Rutledge (Robert), twenty-five grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2019, from 12:00-1:00 pm in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Minister Tom Kinzel officiating. Music will be under the direction of Tony Sellers.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
