Myrtle L. Harrison

Myrtle Louise Hensley Harrison, 83 years old, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2020. In 1969, she relocated from Kingsport, TN to Hampton, VA where she lived until 1999. She then moved to Asheboro, NC where she resided until her death. She was devoted to her family as a selfless mother. Louise enjoyed family, major league baseball, bowling, reading, gardening and bird watching. Myrtle was the beloved mother of Jay Anthony (Pooler, GA), Janie of Chicago, IL (husband Milt), Terry of Knightdale, NC (wife Gwen), Eddie of Charlotte, NC (wife Cheryl) and Jackie McSwain of Shelby, NC (husband Scott). A cherished grandmother to Christy Duke and Doug Keeter of Greenville NC, Beki Smith of Ocala FL, Dustin Spencer of Knightdale NC, Shanna Harrison of Mint Hill NC, Melissa Harrison of Charlotte NC, Todd Harrison of Austin TX and Wyatt McSwain of Shelby NC. She was a great-grandmother to eleven and great-great-grandmother to one. Also, Louise is survived by her brother Paul Hensley and his wife, Kathi of Mountain Home, AR. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will only be a Graveside Service for the family at 11:00am on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 800 Truxton Drive in Kingsport, TN.
