Nola Banks Bowery, of Blountville, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born August 26, 1926, in Cumberland, KY to the late, Monroe and Mary Jane Holcomb Banks. Nola was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Blountville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Ray Bowery (2001); several brothers and sisters. Nola is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hayes and husband, Frank; granddaughter, Christina Smith; grandson, Wesley Hayes; great grandchildren, Elijah Hayes, Isaiah Hayes and Trinity Smith; sister, Delores Thompson and husband, Arlis; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 5:45 pm Monday, April 18, 2022, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Lewis Kiser officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Those attending the graveside are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 pm. The care of Nola Banks Bowery and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
