Just saw this today (9/10/2022). Orval and I shared an office at TEC for many years. A complete gentleman (unless discussing UT foorball). I enjoyed his stories about Welch WV. Rest in peace. Bob Meadows
My thoughts, prayers, and condolences to the family.
Steve and David, we are very sorry to see the loss of your father and wish to express our deepest sympathy to you all and your family. He was a good man. Connie and I are out of town and unable to attend today’s service. You are in our prayers.

I am so sorry about the passing of Orval. He was a wonderful person. I am so glad that I got to know him at the Kingsport Senior Center and I got to play table tennis with him. He was a great person and a good friend. The last time I saw him a couple weeks ago I gave him a hug and a Christmas card. He will be missed by a lot of people, but I know he is with the Lord and we will meet again. God bless all the family.
Orval was such an encouraging sweet Christian man, always uplifting, joyous & humble. He was a very vital part of our Sunday School class @ Higher Ground; "Ambassadors for Christ." He was so thankful for whatever anyone did for him, gracious & appreciative. When I think of him, it brings a joyous smile to me, I will miss him, but I know that he is celebrating with our Savior!

We went to church with Mr. “Orville” for years and we just simply adored him and loved to causally chat with him. His physical presence will surely be missed. Thankful to know that he is in Heaven rejoining and worshipping Jesus with his loved ones who went before him.

Steve and family: With caring thoughts of sympathy for you and your family. I am so sorry to hear of your dad's tragic passing. He was such a good man! Thinking of you at this difficult time, and hoping that you find comfort in your memories of happier moments.
Orval was one of the memorable people I worked with and grew to like at TEC's engineering division. We'll not see his like again. God is in for a treat.
My sympathies to Steve and David and all of Orval's family.
