Penelope "Penny” Dexter Roberts, 57, of Kingsport, passed away on March 18, 2022, at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Wilcox Hall, Kingsport, TN. She was born on April 22, 1964, to Jimmy and Doris Dexter. Penny was a beloved teacher in the Sullivan County School System. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church. Penny was an animal lover, loved to travel and loved the beach. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Penelope is survived by her loving daughter, Hannah George (Ashley); parents, Jimmy and Doris Dexter; special cousin Kimberly; and friend, Frances. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Dexter. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services, Kingsport, Tennessee. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Jack Edwards and Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. The family extends a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff on W2 Wilcox Hall.
