Phyllis Eggers Rappleyea, 76, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.She was born September 26, 1946, in Banner Elk, NC to the late Clayton and Mildred Davis Ruppard.Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.She attended the Baptist church.In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Rappleyea; first husband, Raymond Eggers; sister, Janet Arnett.Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Scott Eggers and wife, Debbie of Elk Park, NC, Eric Shane Eggers and wife, Shannon of Siam, TN; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Ruppard of Hickory Knot, NC; sister, Brenda Ruppard of Morganton, NC; several nieces and nephews.Phyllis had chosen cremation and no services will be held.To share memories and condolences with the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Phyllis Eggers Rappleyea and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services in Kingsport, TN.Read Obituary

I’ve had many memories with Phyllis. I met her as a friend while living in Banner Elk then introduced her to my brother Danny and they fell in love and got married. When Danny became sick Phyllis took very good care of him as well as our mother. She was a very caring and loving person. I had sort of a dream of my brother smiling so I believe they are happy together.
