Phyllis Ann Sampson Tuggle, 84, residing in Beavercreek, OH, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, surrounded with love and family. She was born May 10, 1933, to W.R. Sampson and Francis Evelyn ‘Eve’ Pyle in Kingsport, TN. Phyllis married Joe Tuggle on November 20, 1954. Phyllis worked at Goldman’s Department Store as a Sales Clerk for seven years, before becoming a counter clerk at Fine Cleaners for over 20 years. She was very involved in her church, Fairborn United Methodist, where she served as the Financial Secretary for a few years; and was a member of the United Methodist Women organization. Phyllis also enjoyed gardening and loved every dog she ever met. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Tuggle; father, W.R. Sampson; mother, Eve Sampson; brothers Alfred Sampson and Bill Sampson; sister, Nola Sampson Brooks. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Frances (Fran) Tuggle and Jo Ann (Jodi) Tuggle Kaeo (Bill); grandsons, Jamie Harmeyer and Jason Harmeyer; sister, Patsy Sampson Johnson; brother, Lonnie Sampson (Louise); sister-in-law, Mildred Sampson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dustin Allman officiating.A Graveside and Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Gethsemane. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.The family would like to thank the staff of Village at the Greene, in Beavercreek, OH, for their outstanding care.
