Randy Edens

Randy Edens, 62, of Mount Carmel, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 22, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center.Randy was born in Kingsport and had lived in Mount Carmel for the past 34 years. He graduated from Lynn View High School in 1976.Randy was a Produce Supervisor with K-Vat Corp. – Food City. The people Randy worked with were not only associates, they were family.He was a member of Serenity Baptist Church, Church Hill, where he served as treasurer and gardener.Randy enjoyed playing golf, collecting sports memorabilia and was a Steelers Fan. He had the opportunity to attend the Masters Golf Tournament last week. Randy loved spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by father, George Edens and brother, Rick Edens.Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Jequetta Edens; daughters, Katie Edens and Sarah Edens; mother, Virginia Edens; sisters, Janice Osborne and husband, Kenneth, Audrey Spears and Diane Shelton; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 5:00 – 6:45 pm Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Aaron Price and Mr. Jessee Lewis officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Baptist, C/O Aaron Price, 103 Castle Ave., Church Hill, TN 37642.The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the family and friends for their prayers, condolences and expressions of sympathy.
