Rhonda K. Flanary

Kim Wright Flanary, 59, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord after a long fight with cancer. Kim was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. She graduated from Sullivan West High School in 1976. Kim attended Pentecost Free Will Independent Baptist Church and Shades of Grace Church.She had a creative mind, loved art and listening to music. Kim had a BIG heart and opened it to everyone.Kim was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Wright.Surviving are her loving husband, Gary Flanary; daughter, Mercedes Traub and husband, David; son Austin Jones and fiancé, Emily DeLauter; grandchildren, Calvin, Hiley, Gracie, Isis, Andrew, Lilly and October; mother, Shirley Smith Wright; two brothers, Jeff Wright and wife, Sherry and Eric and wife, Mildred; best friend, Libby Jones and several aunts, uncles and cousins.A Private Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin Truex, Jr. Foundation to aid in the fight against cervical cancer at: https://www.martintruexjrfoundation.org The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Steven Baumrucker and nurses at Kingsport Hematology and Oncology.
