Robert "Rob" Jackson

Robert (Rob) Jackson, 59, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on January 13, 2018. He was born to Harold and Maria Jackson in Yokohama, Japan on May 8, 1958. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan (Brinkman), son Jeffrey Jackson and daughter Katie Jackson Amburgey and husband Jamie, brothers Alex and Joe and sisters Liz and Cathy. He is preceded in death by only 1 hour by his oldest brother Billy. Rob grew up in Ogden, Kansas. He spent 25 years in Largo, Florida and moved to Tennessee in 2005. He worked as a cable technician for over 25 years. He was a handyman and enjoyed building furniture out of barn wood. He loved a challenge. Rob had a passion for NHRA drag racing. Family vacations were planned around a drag race. He was an all around hands on dad, but when it came to sports he was always there for his kids, as well as the team. He was happy hanging out with family and friends. He loved his Australian Cattle Dogs.
