Rometa Witt

Rometa Jane Witt (nee Smith), 89, of Kingsport, passed away October 5, 2019, at Dominion Senior Living Center in Crossville, Tennessee. Mrs. Witt was born August 10, 1930, in Gary West Virginia to Cleo and Waldron Smith. She attended Carter County High School in Elizabethton, Tennessee and graduated in 1949.In 1953, she married Woodrow Wilson Witt of Kingsport, her husband of 50 years.She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and gardening. She was preceded in her death by her husband, and three brothers.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Turnbull (King) of Crossville, TN; granddaughters Kristen Fanning (Toby) of Memphis, TN and Michelle Blem of Nashville, TN. She has two great grandsons, Jackson and Kash as well as one great granddaughter, Ava.A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Devotion.The care of Rometa J.
