Ron Quillen

Ron Quillen, 57, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1962, in Kingsport.Ron was a loving and giving gentleman who always put others first. He was an avid Tennessee Vols and NASCAR fan. His greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his family especially, his grandchildren.Ron enjoyed coaching football and baseball in the Lynn Garden Pee Wee League for several years and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.He retired from Waste Management as a truck driver following twenty years of service.Ron was a committed Christian and member of Higher Ground Baptist Church where he had previously served on the Security Team.He was preceded in death by his sister, Missy Quillen.Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Sherrie Castle Quillen; children, Matthew Quillen (Tina) and Jessica Bradford (Jeff); grandchildren, McKenna, Brionna, Jaxon, Jeffrey, Sophia, Alaina, Isabella and Carter, who is due in July; father, Charles Quillen (Dorothy); mother, Linda Turner; brother, Travis Quillen (Robbyn) and special niece, Jayda Quillen; sister, Marie Head (Chad); several nieces and nephews; fur babies, Sassy and Zoe.The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2020, from 12:30-2:15 pm in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral Home. The Graveside & Committal Service will follow at 2:30 pm under the portico entrance of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
