Ronnie Lynn Gillenwater, 68, of Kingsport passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, after a brief illness.Ronnie was a graduate of Lynn View High School, and he loved rock & roll and bluegrass music. Ron was my neighbor for 8 years when I lived beside him at the apartments. He never missed my birthday / would go on “walks “with me even tho he was in a wheel chair we would go out a couple times a day together and” walk “my puppy and when the puppy got tired he would sleep on Ron’s lap till we made it back . Over the years he became my best friend . I haven’t been able to get in contact with him and didn’t know his family and today I found his obituary and it broke my heart .
He will always be remembered

So sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing, my sincere condolences. He was a very nice and friendly guy. I remember how well he could play those drums, he could really play!! Heaven gained a good guy. Rest peacefully Ronnie and rock on my friend. 🙏🥁

I’m sorry to be intrusive but may I ask if this was the Ronnie who lived in Lee Apartments years ago then moved the Cabanna and I’m not sure where he went after that? Sorry for everyone’s loss no matter who this man was.
