Russell "Rusty" Strange, 50, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Holston Manor. He was born May 11, 1969, in Knoxville, TN.Russell was a loving, kind, generous and tender hearted man who always put others first. His hobbies included fishing and landscaping.Russell’s greatest joy in life came by spending quality time with his three sons.He was a retired construction worker and attended The Church of Jesus Christ in Kingsport.Russell was preceded in death by his adopted father, George Strange; maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Preston Strange, Jacob Strange and Peyton Strange; mother, Sharon Dockery; birth father, Leonard Wilson; sisters, Sherry Mattox and husband, Tim, Misty Johnson and husband, Richard; half-sisters, Amber Wilson and Tonya Wilson; several nieces and one nephew.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Shades of Grace United Methodist Church, 313 East Sullivan St., Kingsport, TN, with Pastor Will Shewey officiating.To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Russell Strange and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
