Ruth M. Sanders, 81, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday morning, April14, 2018, at her residence following a long illness.She was born in Crackers Neck, VA to the late Randolph Clifford Mise and Della Gilley Mise.Mrs. Sanders retired as a restaurant owner.She enjoyed talking with people, made friends easily and never met a stranger. Mrs. Sanders loved life and knew how to live it. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Stan Sanders; son Marc Sanders and wife, Shelly; sisters, Beulah Lee and Evelyn Johnson; several nieces and nephews also survive.The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the nurses of Amedisys Hospice.The care of Ruth Sanders and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary

Stan, Mark, Shelly, and other family members, I’m so saddened by the passing of your loved one! Ruth was a very sweet and friendly neighbor! I will never forget the wonderful and fun times we had together with all the neighbors that you always invited to your dinners every year! So very nice to invite and treat the whole street to these dinners! She will be missed! I pray that God will bless the family, and help them remember all the good times with her!
